Famous 101

                Prologue: No Ordinary Teenager
One Summer’s eve, I walked down Maple Street.  “Hey, Char!” I spun around and found myself face-to-face with my BFF. “Hey, Liz! ‘Sup?” I asked, as we hugged each other. “ Nothing much, just the usual. You know….”
                I smiled. Yeah ...
I definitely did know. I should probably stop and explain myself. See, Liz and I are no ordinary teenagers. We’re Kid Celebs. Does that sound too good to be true? But it’s true. See, we weren’t always famous fourteen year olds.  Let me take you back to the beginning … the very beginning.
 Chapter 1: The Very Beginning
It all started in the beginning of the eighth grade. It was the very first day of school. Liz and I knew each other from the first grade. Anyways, we were in English class, bored to death, when Mrs. Hamilton  said, “ I am assigning a project that will involve a partner of two.  I want you to make a movie. First, you will write a novel. The you will turn it into a script. After that, you hold auditions and cast parts. If your movie is good enough, I will give it to the Hollywood Producers and if you are lucky, you will get to see your movie on the big screen. Last year, Annabelle Johnson, and her partner Sarah Adams, got to see their movie Hit By Lightning on the big screen.”
“OMG! I watched that movie! I can’t believe it!” screamed Cinthia Brown.
“Yes, well, that movie got an A+ and was voted best movie in the whole grade, and that’s including the teachers. Here’s the challenge: No romance or inappropriate videos. Good Luck to all. You have five minutes to pick a partner  and get started.”  Finished Mrs. Hamilton.
“ Hey, Char, do you-“ began Liz.
“ Want to work together? Yeah.” I had a tendency to finish my friends sentences. We sat side-by-side. “ So how ‘bout a mystery-suspense theme?” asked Liz.
“Sure.  It could be about a girl who is accused of being-“
“Murdered. She’s trying to prove she’s innocent, but it isn’t until her twin sister, Lilly, whom Laura was told that she was dead, shows up and tells her the truth and kills her, before she could even prove her case.” I finished, with a satisfied smile.
“Yeah, that’ll work, Char. But who are-“

“ My twin sisters, Annie and Anna. I could probably talk them into it. Lately, they’ve been going through a phase where they pretend they are actors. They’ll probably think it’s like there big break, or something.”
“Excellent,” said Liz, with a satisfied smile. We were off to a great start.
Chapter 2: Persuading The Twins
“ Hey, I’m hooome!” I called, as I walked into my house. “Hey, kiddo.” Said Mom, giving me a hug.
“ Hey, mom, is Annie and Anna home?” I asked. “ Yes. They’re  in their room. Why-“
“Sorry, can’t talk. See ya!” I called, as I ran upstairs to their room. I knocked. “ C’mon in.” replied Annie.
“ Hey, do you want to be in a movie?” I quickly explained my English assignment to them. “ Um, actually.-“
“ C’mon! It’ll be exciting! Think of it as your big break! If you do well, then it’ll get an A, and you’ll see yourselves in every theater in the universe!” I pleaded to my older sisters. They are in the 9th grade. “ Well, when you put it that way…..” began Anna, but Annie interrupted by saying, “ We get one-third of the money. Do we have a deal?” I sighed and said, “ Fine, if you insist.”
“Let us know when you’re ready to film. Until, then, we’ve got other stuff to do. Do you mind?” asked my irritating older sis, Annie. “ Whatever. I have to do something anyways….”
Anna whispered to Annie, who shook her head, and closed the door behind me. Anna gave me an apologetic smile, as Annie closed the door. I slammed the door to my room and dialed Liz’s number: 732-987-6348.
“Hey Liz….”
“ Hey Char! Wassup?”  She asked.
“ They’re in!!!” I said into the phone.
“ Good job. Now, let’s do some brainstorming on the story-“
“ We’ll come up with a title last.” I finished for her.
“ Yeah. Let’s make an outline.” The following is what we came up with:
A.      Title:  ( Unknown, for now)
1.       Conflict: girl named Lilly  accused of being a mass murderer
2.       Solution: it turns out that it’s not really her, but as she gets closer to the truth she finds out that it’s her twin sister, Laura.
B.      Details about Laura
1.       She’s supposed to be dead …in a car accident
2.       Is really insane, and got out of prison.
3.       In search of her sister Lilly, whom she was told is dead.
4.       Escaped Mental Hospital
C.      Details about Lilly’s and Laura’s Parents
1.       Wanted  Laura hidden from Lilly
2.       Belong to secret agency
3.       Trying to find Laura
D.      Ending
1.       Laura goes to Jail
2.       Parents attend Lilly’s funeral
3.       Laura eventually becomes sane, again, and grieves for her sister’s death. She kills herself, because she thinks that will be good enough for what she has done to her sister.

I think Mrs. Hamilton will be pleased.” I replied, as Liz said, “I agree. I’m sorry, Char, I have to go study for that science quiz  we have tomorrow.”
“ Same here. Good Luck.” I replied.
“ You too, Char. See you tomorrow.”
“ ‘k , Liz!” With the project done ( for now), I hung up, and opened my science homework.  I had a quiz on “Life And Industry depends on Chemical Reactions.”  It was about Photosynthesis, and Respiration, and its chemical equations, and some other stuff, like,  Technology, and Catalytic Converters. Boring, I know, but I had to learn it, if I wanted to pass the eighth grade, which, of course I did.

                Chapter 3: The Killer
“ Hey,  Liz, what’s are title?” I asked, the next morning, as I ran up to her.  “ I dunno…maybe ‘Mysterious Murderer’?” she suggested. I shook my head and said, “ No way! How bout….. The Killing?”
“ No….” replied Liz, and we both frowned. “ I’VE GOT IT! HOW ‘BOUT THE-“ I began and we said in unison, “ The Killer!”
“ It’s perfect! I said. “ Here, Lemme write it, ’k?”
“ Sure, thing!” I replied. I handed her a pen as we headed into English class.
Chapter 4: A Few Months Later….
We were in first period-English class. “ Ok, everyone, today, you are going to turn you stories into a script. In a book, you need all the character’s thoughts, but in a play your actors have to ACT like the way you put their thoughts in the book. For example “ I feel hungry.” In a movie, I could either say it or act it, meaning I eat.” Said Mrs. Hamilton, and then she added, “ Here are some papers, one person from each group must get the papers needed to write your script on. The movie is graded for class. I’m sending in the script and it’s up to the director to decide.”

Here’s how ours look:
Scene 1:
Setting: At the Hospital
Characters: Doctor, Mrs. Baker, and Mr. Baker
Doctor: ( looks down, sadly)
I’m afraid she’ll never be the same.
Mrs. Baker: ( sounding scared)
What’s the problem, Doctor?
Doctor:
Laura has a … a mental disease.
Mr. Baker:
 Is it …serious?
Doctor:
I won’t lie to you. It’s very serious. Laura may put Lilly in danger one day, if they ever meet.
Mrs. Baker:
But …But they’re sisters!
Doctor:
You want what’s best for them, right?!
Mr. and Mrs. Baker:
O-Of …course.
“ Put your pencil down,” Mrs. Hamilton said. “ I want you to give me two scenes by tomorrow.” She paused, to give us time to let what she said sink in, and then she added, “ Class dismissed.” We walked together to our third-period class-science.
